Janet grew up in Aotearoa, in Gisborne, Otara and Picton, and is now based in the Netherlands. She relocated to Amsterdam to run the international climate campaign for Greenpeace. She took her passion for understanding how people connect into executive roles in the organisation, where she built its organisational strength and leadership culture, including through the development of an integrity system for the global organisation with the help of Governance & Integrity International. Moniek Bouland
Partner and Director Governance & Integrity International
Advisor and trainer
Based in the Netherlands, Moniek began her career at PwC as a strategic risk analyst before joining the municipality of Amsterdam, where she was a driving force in building its integrity office from the ground up. That office became a reference point in the Netherlands. When the Dutch Ministry of Defence set out to develop their own, Moniek was called in to translate the Amsterdam experience into a defence context, helping establish its Central Organisation for Integrity (COID). It was here that she developed the integrity risk analysis methodology the COID still uses today, and which is now central to Governance & Integrity’s work.
During this time, she decided she wanted to pursue organisational development focused on integrity and became a partner at Governance & Integrity. With over fifteen years of experience, Moniek works across a wide range of sectors; monopoly of violence, judiciary, financial institutions, universities, and the public sector in the Netherlands and internationally.
Moniek also developed Governance & Integrity’s methodology for integrity risk profiling, aimed at senior leaders and officials. In Ukraine, she led the procurement risk analysis that was instrumental in establishing Lviv’s first Bureau of Integrity and Anti-corruption, and now she heads Governance & Integrity’s work in Belgium and the Caribbean, advising local governments on building their own integrity systems.

As a trainer, he focuses on the governance and management of organisations and delivers a basic course on compliance and moral learning to higher management.
Frans has been working in Lviv, Kyiv and wider Ukraine since the early 2000s to establish a department of integrity. Since the full-scale invasion by Russia, Frans is helping the development of a regional and national anti-corruption approach to assist Ukraine post-war. In addition to integrity, Frans is also involved in public art, citizenship issues and the integration of immigrants.
